Senior citizens can check the status of their application for Program Penghargaan Warga Emas. Penang senior citizen over the age of 60 will be given RM 100 as a token of appreciation from the state government. Phee urged all senior citizens to register into this program immediately as the closing date March 8 (5:00pm), 2010 is drawing near. Phee added that there has been a lot of attempts to sabotage this program by the opposition. And one of them is a rumour that those who registered under this program are automatically a DAP member, said Phee.
