April 26, 2010 — A senior citizen fell at an escalator located in KOMTAR. He suffered a head injury. While investigating the cause of the accident, CJ Jimmy Leow found that the escalator hand rail was faulty. The hand rail stopped while the escalator was moving. A maintenance staff said that they have requested PDC to repair the said problem but the approval did not come. The maintenance staff mentioned that he has submitted the request about 2 months ago. A shopper said that such accident has occurred several times.
